– A trio of Keystone College women's soccer players were honored on Monday as the Colonial States Athletic Conference released its 2016 end of the season women's soccer awards. These awards include Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-CSAC and the CSAC All-Sportsmanship team. These awards were determined by a vote of the conference's 12 head coaches. (Nanticoke, Pa./Greater Nanticoke Area) and (Nicholson, Pa./Mountain View) were named Second Team All-Conference while (Brodheadsville, Pa./Pleasant Valley) was selected to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Sugalski earned All-Conference accolades for the fourth year in a row to become the first player in program history to earn All-CSAC awards all four years of her career. The senior captured Second Team honors for the third year in a row after playing a central role in Keystone's defense as well as in the midfield.

Defensively, Sugalski led the Giants to a 1.84 goals-against average and helped the team post three shutouts. Offensively, Sugalski contributed four points on one goal and two assists on the year. Richner garnered Second Team All-Conference honors following an outstanding rookie season for Keystone. The freshman midfielder started all 15 games and which she played and led the Giants in scoring with 17 points on six goals and five assists. Richner, who tied for the team lead in both goals and assists, also scored the game-winning goal in a conference win over Rosemont College on October 19. Hansen was chosen to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship following a fine sophomore season. The second-year midfielder started all 16 games on the season and recorded three assists, setting up goals in games against Penn State Brandywine, Immaculata University, and Cabrini University.

Centenary University junior defender Emily Pizzuto was voted the 2016 CSAC Player of the Year. A three-time All-CSAC selection, Pizzuto was a second-team selection last season. Starting in all 17 matches this season, she assisted on three goals. She led a defensive unit that posted seven shutouts this season, six of them coming in CSAC play. Pizzuto is the second Centenary women's soccer player to earn CSAC Player of the Year honors, joining former Cyclone Brittany Overland who claimed the accolade in 2011. The Cyclones secured the number three seed in the CSAC playoffs and will host Neumann on Monday afternoon. Cabrini University junior goalkeeper Gabby Legendre was the coaches' choice for the 2016 CSAC Defensive Player of the Year.

This marks the second year the conference has honored a Defensive Player of the Year in women's soccer. Earning her first spot on the All-CSAC team, she was named first-team goalkeeper.

This season, she ranked third in the conference in goals against average at 1.30, and posted five shutouts. She made 68 saves and had a 10-6-1 mark, leading the Cavaliers to the second seed in the upcoming CSAC tournament. Immaculata University freshman defender Maddie Bescript was named as the 2016 CSAC Rookie of the Year, becoming the first Mighty Mac women's soccer player to earn this distinction. Playing in 15 matches this season, she helped the Mighty Mac defensive unit post three shutouts and led a team that rebounded from a 1-7 start to win six out of its next ten to make the CSAC playoffs. Immaculata will host Gwynedd Mercy Monday night in the quarterfinals.
